Eight clauses

  1. Who you are buying from

    Hardman London is a brand of Hardman London Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 17406224, whose registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. In these terms that company is "we" and "us", and you are the person placing the order.

    We sell direct to the public. There is no shop, no wholesaler and no marketplace listing in between, so the contract for anything you order here is between you and us.

  2. The contract

    Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation, not when you pay. If we cannot make or send something you have paid for, we will tell you and refund it in full.

    Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where it applies. Postage is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.

  3. How the garments are made

    Every piece is made when you order it. Nothing is held in stock, which is why dispatch is within 5 working days of the order rather than the same afternoon, and why we can offer 6 delivery regions without holding stock in any of them.

    Garments are printed or embroidered at the production facility nearest your delivery address. Small variations in placement of a few millimetres are normal in printing and are not a fault.

  4. Cancelling and returning

    You have a legal right to cancel a distance purchase within fourteen days of receiving it, without giving a reason, and a further fourteen days to send it back. We go further than that by choice: thirty days from delivery, for any reason, provided the garment is unworn, unwashed and has its labels on.

    We refund the price you paid and the standard outbound postage within fourteen days of receiving the garment back. Where a garment is faulty or is not what this site described, we cover the postage both ways.

    Made-to-order goods are ordinarily outside the statutory cancellation right, because they are made after the order. We do not rely on that exception for standard sizes of standard garments, and this clause is the whole of what we ask in return: send it back in the state it arrived.

  5. If something is wrong

    Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund depending on the circumstances. Nothing in these terms reduces that, and any clause that appeared to would simply not apply.

    Tell us within a reasonable time of noticing. A photograph of the fault usually settles it in one message.

  6. Delivery and risk

    Delivery estimates are estimates and start from dispatch rather than from the order. Risk passes to you when the parcel is delivered to the address you gave us.

    Where a parcel crosses a customs border, any duty or import tax is stated on the delivery page for that region. Where it says none is due, that is because the garment was made on your side of the border.

  7. Our marks

    HARDMAN, the Hardman London name, the wordmarks and the artwork on the garments are ours. Buying a garment does not transfer any right in them beyond owning that garment.

  8. Law, and how to reach us

    These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts.
